Having entered the spray foam industry in 2005 through a family connection, James embraced entrepreneurship upon returning from Iraq in 2007, concluding his service in the Marine Corps. Over the past 16 years, he not only successfully built and managed his spray foam application business in Central VA but also demonstrated a profound passion for the industry. Beyond overseeing day-to-day operations, James actively participated in every aspect of the business, drawing on first-hand experience with the spray foam application process. Utilizing leadership skills acquired in the Marine Corps, he led by example, contributing to consistent growth year after year. Even during tough economic times, the family-run business became a trusted partner for local contractors and homeowners, fostering repeat business.
After nearly two decades of owning his business, James made the decision to transition to the sales and technical side of the industry. In January of 2023, he assumed the role of Mid Atlantic Sales Manager with ProFoam. The prospect of using his knowledge to assist others was particularly appealing to him. James excels at building and maintaining long-term relationships with a diverse range of industry professionals. Possessing a deep understanding of customer needs, he is equipped to assist them with the future growth of their sales and business development. Striving to think outside of the box, James brings fresh ideas for driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships. With a strong drive to succeed, he aims to be a reliable resource for those he supports.
Additionally, James provides a strategic location for a distribution center for spray foam materials. This setup ensures enhanced availability, ultimately saving time and money for many customers in the Virginia region in the procurement of foam.
James is dedicated to educating local code officials on the advantages of spray foam, consistently expanding his knowledge to ensure the success of both customers and contractors. His primary goal is to keep customers operational, supporting their success and business growth. James provides technical assistance, crew training, and serves as a resource for unique or complex job opportunities. His experience is invaluable, especially for younger companies entering the spray foam business with limited application experience.
In addition to his professional pursuits, James finds joy in hobbies such as hunting, spearfishing, and spending quality time with his wife Nikki, their two children, and their four-legged companion, Jack. As an avid aviator, he indulges his passion for aviation by flying airplanes, attending airshows, and traveling to the Bahamas.
