Profoam's Journey: Leading the Way in the Spray Foam Industry

At Profoam, we pride ourselves on being the leading supplier of spray foam insulation in the industry. With over twenty years of experience, our founder Ted Medford, and our dedicated team bring unparalleled service, expertise, and marketing resources to spray foam contractors. As a former home builder and spray foam contractor himself, Ted understands the challenges and needs of your business better than anyone else. Whether you're just starting out or looking to expand, Profoam is here to support your success.

From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leaders

Ted's journey in the insulation industry began in 1987 when he and his father Larry started their own insulation business, Medford's Insulation, while Ted was studying at the University of Georgia. Back then, fiberglass dominated the market, and they primarily installed fiberglass batts and blew it into attics. However, after realizing the superior insulating properties of cellulose, they invested in equipment to spray cellulose insulation, which led to the growth of a successful business in the North Georgia area.

In the mid-90s, Ted and his father learned about spray foam insulation, hailed as the best insulation on the market. Intrigued by its potential, they conducted extensive research and witnessed spray foam installations firsthand. Convinced of its benefits, they decided to invest in equipment for applying spray foam insulation. This marked the beginning of their journey into the world of spray foam insulation.

Expanding Success and Empowering Entrepreneurs

With their new product line, Ted and his team spent years expanding their business throughout the southeastern USA, with few regional competitors. Recognizing the opportunity to share their success and help others thrive, they developed a plan to sell dealerships replicating their proven business model. This initiative attracted numerous new business partners and entrepreneurs, who were equipped with state-of-the-art spray foam insulation rigs, comprehensive training, marketing support, and business development guidance.

Throughout the 2000s and beyond, Profoam played an important role in launching hundreds of successful spray foam insulation businesses. They customized rigs of various sizes and configurations, created cutting-edge marketing materials, and provided detailed training tools and courses. Their aim was to make owning and operating a spray foam insulation business as seamless as possible.

Continuing the Legacy with Profoam

After years of industry expertise and success, Profoam was acquired by a prominent spray foam and coatings supplier. Today, Ted has combined his wealth of experience with the industry's finest materials, top-notch application equipment, and innovative contractor marketing programs to create Profoam – the most progressive supplier in the spray foam industry.

Ted's commitment to providing his customers with the best tools, equipment, and knowledge remains unwavering. At Profoam, we prioritize building strong relationships, companies, and equipment that bring integrity to our industry. When you choose us as your partner, you can trust that you'll receive the support you need to enter or expand in the spray foam insulation industry.
